Suresh V. Dogra, DVM, Chief Veterinarian

 

Dr. Suresh V. Dogra is the chief veterinarian at Aloro Pet Hospital. His four goals as a veterinarian at Aloro Pet Hospital in Valley Village can be summed up simply: serve pets, relieve pain and illness, prevent pain and sickness, and bring happiness to clients and their families.
 
Dr. Dogra is originally from Faridabad, India. He earned his undergraduate degree from D.A.V. College Jalandhar and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine with honors from The College of Veterinary Sciences at Punjab Agricultural University, both in Punjab. Dr. Dogra is a member of the Southern California Veterinary Medical Association, the California Veterinary Medical Association, and the Indus Valley Veterinary Association. His professional interests include internal medicine, ophthalmology and general surgery. He has been part of the Aloro Pet Hospital veterinary team since 1986.
 
Dr. Dogra and his wife Balbir have three grown children and a Boxer named Tyson. In his free time Dr. Dogra enjoys walking, hiking, movies and spending time with family.
 
Rupinderjit Garha, DVM, Associate Veterinarian
 
Dr. Garha is a native of India who grew up happily surrounded by animals. From an early age Dr. Garha was fascinated by the stories of his uncle, who was a veterinarian, would tell him. He became inspired to pursue a career devoted to helping animals, and earned his degree from D.A.V. College Jalandhar and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The College of Veterinary Sciences at Punjab Agricultural University, both in Punjab. He joined Aloro Pet Hospital in May 2006.
 
Dr. Garha is a member of American Veterinary Medical Association, the Southern California Veterinary Medical Association, the California Veterinary Medical Association, and the Indus Valley Veterinary Association. His professional interests include dentistry, surgery, behavioral medicine, rehabilitation, and nutrition.
 
Dr. Garha and his wife Rajwinder have a son named Ashman and a daughter named Anureet. Together, the family cares for Sophie, a Yorkie, and Champ, a Yorkie mix. Dr. Garha enjoys spending his free time walking and hiking. He also volunteers his time performing spays and neuters at animal shelters.

 

 

Anush Melkonyan, DVM
 
Dr. Melkonyan has been with Aloro Pet Hospital since 2009. Since then, she has worked in many roles includes Receptionist and Vet Tech. She obtained her degree from the Armenian National Agrarian University.
 
Dr. Melkonyan brings a positive attitude and dedication to our practice. She most enjoys surgery and diagnostics. 
 
“Aloro Pet Hospital is my family,” says Dr. Melkonyan. “All staff members and Doctors are dedicated to helping our patients to live longer and happier lives, while keeping their parents as worry free as possible. I love doing it so much that I can’t ever call it a job…It’s my passion!”
 
When not in the office, Dr. Melkonyan enjoys horseback riding, and spending time with her husband and three sons hiking, bike riding and visting the zoo. Dr. Melkonyan is also a pet parent to A German Shephard, Zoie, and a Pittbull, Smokey.
